Places to visit in Orchha

Ram Raja Temple (MANDIR)

Ram Raja Temple is one of the most visiting and famous places of Orchha. Ram Raja Temple is a Hindu Culture temple and Have a large number of devotees approx 200-300 daily. The annual number of tourist from foreign and as well as domestic are approx 90,000 and it is increasing day by day.And the tourism will increase on the major festival of Orchha like Makar Sankranti, Ram Navmi, Sawan Bhadon, Vasant Panchmi , Shivratri, Vivaha Panchami , Kartik Purnima. Camera, Leather accessories and Other Harmfull items are prohibited on the campus of the temple.You can also apply for a “Bhog” in the temple which is chargeable at different prices minimum is Rs.500.   This temple is mainly known as the name of Lord “Ram” or “Rama” because this is the only temple in whole India where lord “Ram” is worshiped as a king . In temple Lord “Ram” get daily Armed Salutation. In the Main Statue(Murti) of Ram Raja Temple there is “Sita”(Lord “Ram’s” Wife) at the left side and “Laxman”(Lord “Ram’s” brother) at the right side of the statue and “Hanuman Ji “(Lord of Hindu Culture) and “Jamwant Ji” (Lord “Hanumans”  best Friend) are praying to Lord Ram. There is also a presence of a “Durga Maa” in the “Darbaar”(Ancient area of conferencing)

Orchha Fort

Fort is another famous place to visit in Orchha but it have low domestic tourist but , it have lots of Foreign tourists. In Orchha fort, some of the places are restricted from visiting. And you need to buy a ticket to enter in the fort , the Ticket price is Higher for Foreign tourist because of the security they provide them, which is totally unfindable but they are watching you everywhere like a spy and protecting you. Orchha Fort was made by “BUNDELA RAJPUT’s” and the structure of this fort is too much old so it may be in bad condition but when I reached there it is under renovation so I don’t know about the current condition. Fort has lots of things to check out like Old Architecture, Arms. Fort is surrounded by Raja Mahal, Jahangir Mahal, Raja Mandir and More. So you can also visit these places without traveling a lot.

Jahangir Mahal

Jahangir Mahal is one the most amazing architecture available in Orchha. It is more ancient then as we think. But still, it has a great work. But you need to take care of your Head while using stairs because they are too much congested . The Mahal have over 8 stairs per floor and the work on its Dome’s is really a thing to click a photo of. Jahangir Mahal is also famous in the world of Filming. Recently, Katrina Kaif (Bollywood Actor) Shoot’s her Slice (A Mango Juice) Advertisement. Similarly, there are lots of shoot by many actors . It is also the best place for Photo shoot.

Chaturbhuj Temple

Chaturbhuj means a person with four arms. Chaturbhuj temple is referred to Lord “Vishnu” (An Avatar of Lord “Ram”). This temple is a very historical place. And the main feature of the architecture is this is a multistoried temple, it has also some underground floors which are restricted to visit. It is fully free to visit and you can also click photos outside the temple but maybe they allow you to click the photo of inside architecture. But be more secure at this place because there are lots of wrongdoers.
